Central heating price reduced by 2.54 percent

The Government of Sarajevo Canton at today's session adopted a conclusion on reducing the price of central heating by 2.54 percent for all users of the services of KJKP „Toplane – Sarajevo“. The reduction in the price of central heating will be applied retroactively, starting from August 1 this year, reports the Patria agency. We recall, the price of heating was initially increased by 12.64%, effective from August 1, 2017. Toplane announced that instead of an increase in central heating prices by 12.64%, from August 2017, central heating prices will be 9.78% higher compared to the prices at which bills were issued until August 1, 2017.

The change in the price of central heating was caused by a reduction in the wholesale price of gas for distribution companies, a decision made by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of last month.

Immediately upon learning of this decision, the Independent Expert Body of the Sarajevo Canton Government for the validity of the calculation and the final proposal for the price of central heating gave its opinion and, through the Ministry of Communal Economy and Infrastructure, proposed to the Government to adopt a conclusion on the aforementioned reduction in the price of central heating.
