A hearing was held this morning at the Court of BiH regarding the BiH Prosecutor's Office's motion to detain Mujo Smajlović, an investigator of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and Robert Iličić from Grude, who were arrested in the "Druker" operation, for one month. The decision will be made during the day, confirmed Vlado Adamović, Smajlović's lawyer, for the BiH news agency Patria.
- The judge has withdrawn to make a decision and will make it during the day. He is an employee of the Prosecutor's Office, and custody is being imposed preventively. I maintain that there is no legal basis for custody, but courts are cautious - said Adamović.
The prosecutor in this case claims that Smajlović was divulging secrets to Iličić, which has been characterized as a criminal offense.
Criminal and disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against the employee of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, confirmed Boris Grubešić, spokesperson for the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
Smajlović is currently in the detention unit of the Court of BiH.
We remind you that Smajlović and Iličić were arrested in the SIPA "Druker" operation on Friday, January 23, 2015.
