Smajić: The wave of evil that engulfed BiH hit a wall and returned to where it started - Belgrade

(Patria) - Delegate of the Party for BiH in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, Džemal Smajić, commented on the statement by the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who said he did not expect attacks on Bosnian Serbs from Belgrade due to their massive voting in Serbia and influence on the election results there.

Dodik claims that the opposition list "Serbia Against Violence" insulted the citizens of Republika Srpska during and after the recent elections in Serbia, "who are now aware of the fact that in Belgrade there is a part of the people who are very negatively inclined towards Republika Srpska".

- This is a blow that no one in Republika Srpska expected, and therefore it is painful. What you have done and what you are saying hurts us more than anything from Sarajevo. You cannot demand any respect from Republika Srpska. You have permanently buried the support from Republika Srpska this way - Dodik stated.

Smajić says that, on the other hand, it was expected for all normal people in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- The policy of the Milošević regime from the 1990s, whose active members included Vučić and Dačić, carried out aggression against BiH which resulted in killings, destruction, and ultimately genocide.

Besides those convicted of genocide, Karadžić, Mladić and the like, the most active follower of that policy is Milorad Dodik and his political entourage.

The wave of evil that then engulfed Bosnia and Herzegovina hit a wall and returned to where it started - to Belgrade. That wave has now also submerged the democratic will of the citizens in Serbia itself, and especially in Belgrade.

It remains hoped that pro-European Serbia will fight for its rights and that relations between Serbia and BiH will finally be conducted as in the civilized world, as relations between two sovereign states, and not through Dodik and others like him - Smajić stated.
