(Patria) - The ministers of the Troika lack the capacity to deal with the challenges facing Bosnia and Herzegovina, said Džemal Smajić, delegate (SBiH) in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, noting that he has repeatedly warned about this in the media and at sessions.
“The latest in a series of crises is occurring in the field of transport and foreign policy, which are the portfolios of Ministers Forto and Konaković. Namely, representatives of 47,000 truck drivers from BiH who supply Bosnia and Herzegovina with 93% of all goods used in our country have long been demanding a meeting with Ministers Forto and Konaković, but have not been given that opportunity.
Those in whose portfolios the solution to their problems lies simply do not have time to deal with the essential economic problem of our country, but they do have time to engage in politicking, publicly declaring that they want as much borrowing for BiH as possible, or to put pressure on the judicial system of BiH,” Smajić points out.
He states that citizens must know that if the problems in the field of transport are not resolved, transport services will become 26% more expensive, which will ultimately be paid by the citizens.
“Ministers Forto and Konaković must use all available mechanisms, talk to representatives of the European Union, in order to reach quick and efficient solutions that would stop the emigration of people engaged in this important job. Otherwise, the aforementioned ministers will bear responsibility for the consequences that their inadequate response will cause,” said Smajić.
