Employee of the BiH Presidency Had to Face Disciplinary Proceedings Because She Called Thaçi President!?

Head of the Public Relations Service in the Secretariat of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dalida Jugo, experienced an unpleasant situation and went through disciplinary proceedings because it was determined that, due to her mistake, Hashim Thaçi was addressed with the title of president during the Brdo-Brijuni Summit in Sarajevo.

The Patria Agency has been confirmed by the Presidency of BiH that all persons involved in the organization of the Summit were forbidden to address the presidents of all participating states as - president.

Member of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić thus wanted to avoid anyone addressing Kosovo's President Hashim Thaçi as president! He justified this by the fact that BiH has not recognized Kosovo. The other two members of the BiH Presidency, Bakir Izetbegović and Dragan Čović, did not give their opinion on this case.

The protocol, therefore, during the Brdo-Brijuni Summit in Sarajevo was faced with a new phenomenon when it comes to welcoming officials from other countries. The protocol was fully respected, except for one detail that will lead to the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against Jugo.

It was later determined that on the gifts for guests, on the inside of the lid, the name of the statesman for whom the gift was intended was written, along with the name and title - president. Kosovo's President Thaçi did not arrive at the dinner where he was supposed to receive the gift, so his gift was returned to the building of the BiH Presidency. It did not take long for someone to open the box and see that on the gift it still said - for President Thaçi.

After learning that Thaçi was still titled as president, Ivanić requested the Secretary General of the Secretariat to initiate disciplinary proceedings before the Agency for Civil Service.

Jugo hired a lawyer and spent months proving that she was not guilty for calling the president of one country a president.

From the BiH Agency for Civil Service, they do not want to go into the motives of Ivanić's action, but they admitted that the case is unusual.
