Stolac Case: Court Annuls CEC's Decision to Remove Kaplan from the List

The Appellate Council of the Court of BiH annulled the Central Election Commission's decision to sanction the Initiative for Stolac candidate Salmir Kaplan by removing him from the candidate list, writes Patria.

We remind you that on November 28, Salmir Kaplan, Demir Mahmutćehajić, and Ahmet Ljubović filed an appeal against the decision of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to incorrectly established factual situation and incorrect application of regulations, and requested the Appellate Department of the Court of BiH to annul the decision removing candidates from the candidate list, as well as to annul the imposed penalties.

It is now expected that the CEC will reconsider the cases in which they sanctioned candidates in the Local Elections in Stolac.

We remind you that the local elections were interrupted on October 2 and a decision on repeating the elections has not yet been made.
