Sejfović Case: Two More Remain in Custody, Motorcyclists Still Missing

Of the four men arrested in the Visoko area who were linked to aiding fugitive Amel Sejfović from Sarajevo Remand Prison, after criminal processing at the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs, three have been released, while the fourth has been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, reports Patria agency.

As confirmed by the Prosecutor's Office, his 24-hour detention has been ordered, and after he is questioned by the acting prosecutor, a decision will be made on further measures to be taken against him.

This morning, a hearing was held at the Municipal Court to determine custody for Amir Ibrahimi and Dževad Hazić, who are accused of transporting Sejfović from Sarajevo towards Zenica after his escape. They have been ordered into one-month custody. They were arrested in the ZDK area. They are charged with the criminal offense of enabling the escape of a person deprived of liberty, and their detention was requested due to fears that they might influence witnesses, conceal evidence, and obstruct the investigation if at liberty, and because they might repeat or complete the criminal offense they started.

Sejfović and his accomplice who drove him away on a motorcycle after escaping from the Remand Prison have not yet been found.

Two prison guards and a medical technician have been ordered into one-month custody and transferred to Zenica Remand Prison. They are suspected of giving Sejfović a pistol and enabling his escape from Sarajevo Remand Prison.
