MEMIĆ CASE: Arijana Memić, police officers Hrvat and Ristivojević who were in Velika aleja to testify

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The trial of Zijad Mutap, Alisa Mutap Ramić, Hasan Dupovac, Josip Barić and Muamer Ožegović, who are charged with organized crime, illegal mediation under the article, aiding an offender after the commission of a criminal offense, obstruction of evidence, and by concealing evidence and perpetrators, fabricating evidence, concealing facts known to them, taking actions with the aim of concealing the actual manner in which Dženan Memić sustained severe, life-threatening bodily injuries, will continue today at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As witnesses of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Arijana Memić, the sister of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, will be heard. She will speak about the circumstances known to her following the incident in Velika aleja on February 8, 2016, when her brother sustained injuries from which he died on February 15, 2016. At the time, the young man was in the company of his girlfriend Alisa Mutap. We recall that the first witness was the young man's father, Muriz Memić, whom none of the defense teams had questions for.

Memić will be asked about everything she knows regarding her brother's death, as well as the events that followed. That fateful night, Alisa Mutap also sustained injuries, and in a letter from her family, it was stated that she too had been beaten.

Also to be heard are Nedžad Hrvat, a member of the DKPT who, on that fateful night, was passing by in an official vehicle with his colleague Nebojša Veljović when Mutap stopped them asking for help.

The third witness should be Velibor Ristivojević, a police officer of the MUP KS, who arrived at the scene in Velika aleja with another colleague, Elvedin Boja, and who spoke with Mutap. Ristivojević testified at the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo on February 21, 2018.

He then stated that he and his colleague Boja arrived in Velika aleja around 10:45 PM, where they found colleagues from the DKPT and Alisa Mutap sitting in the trunk of a car, along with the injured Dženan Memić.

At that time, in response to a question from attorney Rusmir Karkin, Ristivojević said he heard Inspector Sefedin Škrijelj telling prosecutor Meris Ćato that Alisa Mutap had problems with her ex-boyfriend Mirza Ploskić. Prosecutor Ćato asked Ristivojević to gather information about the incident from residents in nearby residential buildings, but no one opened their doors.

Recalling that fateful night, the witness said that Samir Mujagić also arrived at the scene, asking for someone from the violent crimes unit to be called. There were three other persons at the scene, and the witness believes they were sent to find Ploskić.

Ristivojević repeated that he saw Dženan Memić's body on an earthen surface near a tree on the left side from the direction of Ilidža towards Vrelo Bosne. He explained that he did not approach the body, but saw that it was facing the ground with its chest, while the lower part of the body was on the back side.

Ristivojević said that Alisa Mutap's father, Zijad Mutap, arrived at the scene before the ambulance.

“He asked what happened, she said they were hit by a car,” Ristivojević said.

When asked whether Zijad Mutap inquired about the injured Dženan, the witness replied that he did not. He also said that he did not disclose any details to Alisa's father.
