Memic Case: Mechanical Engineering Expert Unable to Conduct New Assessment

The continuation of the trial against Ljubo Seferović and his father Bekrija for the criminal offense of grave acts against public traffic safety and for the criminal offense of failure to provide assistance to a person injured in a traffic accident and the criminal offense of obstruction of justice, in the case of Dženan Memić's death, was supposed to be held today at the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, reports Patria News Agency.

Two witnesses who were supposed to testify again at the request of the defense of the accused did not receive summons.

Brothers Admir and Asmir had already testified earlier, but according to unofficial information, they have changed their place of residence, which is why they did not receive summons for today's hearing.

Judge Igor Todorović informed the defense that the mechanical engineering expert Adnan Hasanović, who was supposed to repeat the expert examination, informed the court that he is unable to comply with the court's order for a new expert examination.

When asked which witnesses he would call for the next hearing, lawyer Rusmir Karkin said that he stands by the already announced witnesses, the Gadžo brothers.

Although the judge asked if he wanted to call any other witnesses, Karkin said he would not do so until the expert examinations that will provide answers to numerous questions are completed.

We remind you that the Court had previously approved the testimony of MUP KS member Nermin Halilović, Assistant Commander of the Ilidža Police Station, Elvedin Bojo, and Velibor Ristivojević, members of the Ilidža Police Station, who arrived at the scene immediately after the members of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies and who were the first to speak with the only witness that night, Alisa Mutap. Sefedin Škrijelj, a traffic investigator, will also testify regarding the circumstances of the conducted investigation, as will Senad Mešić.
