(Patria) - After announcements that the price of gas would decrease by 20% with the switch to the TurkStream pipeline, we are now facing a gas price increase of approximately 30%.
The new gas price increase will occur on January 1, 2022, and the price of gas will increase to a minimum of 0.85 feninga per 1000 Sm3. Knowing that the price of gas for citizens was 0.66 feninga, this means an increase of approximately 30%. This is only the first increase in 2022, as another increase is expected in April, culminating in June 2022. Why June? Almir Bečarević, a gas expert, answers this question.
"Because Energoinvest signed a contract with Gazprom for only the first 5 months of 2022. By doing so, Energoinvest agreed to share the fate of Serbia, which also signed a contract for the first 5 months. Why only for the first 5 months? The answer is simple - BECAUSE OF THE ELECTIONS IN SERBIA. Gazprom views BiH as a colony of Serbia, and Energoinvest agrees to this. After the pompous announcement of a lower gas price, we are getting an increase in the gas price, and this is happening with the switch to TurkStream," said Bečarević.
In March, the then BH-Gas warned about this scenario, but at that time we received gas "experts" in the person of Nermin Džindić and Bisera Hadžialjević.
These experts have led us to an increase in the price of gas, and a drastic increase in the price of natural gas is yet to be expected.
"Now we will all bear the consequences of these 'experts'!, Bečarević adds.
