Will the formation of the BiH Council of Ministers also be blocked?

After the confirmation of the FBiH Government was postponed today in Sarajevo, the formation of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina will also be postponed, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The FBiH Government will not be formed for some time, because Čović reneged on the agreement with Izetbegović and Komšić, and today the Vice President of FBiH, Milan Dunović, withdrew his consent for the election of the FBiH Government.

The President of HDZ BiH previously announced that the Council of Ministers of BiH will not be formed until the FBiH Government is formed first.

- It is important to emphasize that there will be no realization of agreements in the Council of Ministers without an agreement on the FBiH Government - Čović stated on several occasions at press conferences during the negotiations on the formation of the FBiH Government.

The Constitution of FBiH specifies that the FBiH Government has eight Bosniak, five Croat, and three Serb ministerial positions, with one position from the quota of the largest ethnic group being able to be excluded and given to a member of the others.

During the political negotiations between Dragan Čović, Bakir Izetbegović, and Željko Komšić, when all of them gave up some of their maximalist demands, a compromise solution was reached whereby SDA would provide six Bosniak ministers (plus a Bosniak prime minister), DF three Serb and one Bosniak minister, while HDZ would take responsibility for appointing five cadres from the Croat people and one from the others out of its six allotted ministerial positions.

However, at today's session, HDZ member Zora Dujmović, Minister of Culture and Sports, insisted, on direct orders from Čović, to declare herself as a Serb, not from the 'others' category, despite everyone trying to convince her otherwise to unblock the confirmation of the new Government.
