Celebration on the banks of the Bosna: Zenica Čimburijada held

(Patria) - Every year on March 21st, the people of Zenica gather at Kamberovića field, by the river bank, to celebrate the first day of spring. The Zenica Citizens' Forum, year after year, enriches this event.

The celebration includes the preparation of a traditional outdoor breakfast – čimbur (a dish made of beaten eggs). In accordance with tradition, Zenica caterer Rasim Salčinović today fried a čimbur made from 1,500 eggs.

For the second time as part of the čimburijada, a photo exhibition was organized. Around 200 photos were submitted for the competition with the theme "Čimburijada, Zenica residents are tradition", and about 40 photos by citizens were exhibited. The first prize went to Senad Mutapčić, the second to Ajnur Šarić and Muamer Kajić. More than 750 works from 15 schools were submitted for the competition to select the best literary and artistic works by students of Zenica elementary schools on the theme "Spring is arriving in my city".
