Slavko Petrović new head coach of FK Željezničar

The Management Board of FK Željezničar has appointed Slavko Petrović, an experienced 58-year-old expert from Serbia, who has been the coach of Radnik from Bijeljina for the past two years, and with whom they are the current winners of the BiH Cup, it was announced from this club, reports the Patria News Agency.

Slavko Petrović was born on August 10, 1958, in Belgrade. In his career, he played as a goalkeeper for Red Star and several German clubs.

He began his coaching career in 1992 and spent most of his time working in Germany. He first coached lower-league teams Alemannia Groß-Rohrheim and Amicitia Viernheim. He then worked in the 1st Bundesliga, for Karlsruher as an assistant, and then led Darmstadt, Carl Zeiss Jena, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Waldhof Mannheim, and Hungarian Zalaegerszegi TE. After that, he came to Serbia where he led Borac Čačak twice, and the team of Belgrade's Rad. After that, in 2014, he took over Radnik from Bijeljina.

He led Radnik from the bench in a total of 46 matches, achieving 18 wins, and 14 draws and losses each. Last season, he won the Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina by defeating Sloboda in the final. In the current season, Radnik has won eight points after the first six rounds.

FK Željezničar and Slavko Petrović have agreed on cooperation until the summer of 2018.
