Slađan Janjanin achieves another great success in his boxing career

Slađan Janjanin from Prijedor has achieved another great success in his boxing career. Namely, the "middle" of the three Janjanin brothers who are involved in this "noble" art, achieved his 14th triumph in as many professional matches (13 wins by knockout), this time boxing in Nairobi, Kenya, against local competitor Ally Seleman, reports the Patria News Agency.

- I didn't know what to expect when I decided to fight in Africa, but I didn't hesitate for a moment whether to accept the offer for this match. I was maximally prepared and focused – says Slađan Janjanin, who reached this fight thanks to cooperation with manager Dalibor Ban.

Although the fight took place outdoors at a temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and high humidity, he didn't let his opponent "get going".

- From the first gong, I went forward because, due to the weather conditions, I didn't know what to expect. Maybe I was rushing due to excessive desire, but I was "dying" in the ring until I saw him on the floor – admits the new "African King" as some Kenyan journalists called him.

Slađan's opponent ended up on the floor in the 2nd and 3rd rounds when the match was stopped. It should be noted that a good portion of the approximately 1,000 spectators present, already after the first round, started cheering for the young man from Prijedor and welcomed the end of the fight, which took place in one of the squares in Nairobi, with applause.

- This was the most important match of my career so far, and I am proud of this new victory, which, I am sure, opens new doors for me and brings me closer to my dream, which are fights in the United States of America, especially in Las Vegas, and entering the top 10 world fighters in my category – does not hide the 24-year-old from Prijedor.

Even in distant Kenya, he made sure to represent himself, the Janjanin boxing family, as well as the city of Prijedor, Republika Srpska, and BiH in Kenya in the best possible way.

- Once again, I especially thank my manager Dalibor Ban, the company Limikom and Mišo Šormaz, who have been supporting me for a long time in my boxing appearances. There is also the support of the Mayor of Prijedor, Marko Pavić, "Niskogradnja Marjanović", "Nešković osiguranje", and other friends who support me in my efforts to reach the top 10 world fighters in my category.

Otherwise, according to available data, Slađan Janjanin is the first boxer from the former Yugoslavia to fight on the African continent in the last 30 years.

In his professional boxing career so far, Slađan Janjanin has had 13 matches and has won all of them, 12 of which were by knockout.
