KS Assembly Bans New Employment for Government and All Cantonal Public Entities

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Based on the initiative of delegate Jasmina Biščević Tokić, adopted today, the KS Assembly adopted a conclusion prohibiting the KS Government and relevant ministries from giving
consent for the employment of employees on a fixed-term and indefinite basis in KS administrative bodies, institutes, directorates, agencies, administrative organizations, legal entities with public authority in the Canton, public enterprises and public institutions founded by the KS, as well as in business entities in which the Canton participates with 50 percent of the total capital.

The Assembly obliged the aforementioned public entities to annul public competitions for employment that are currently underway, as well as to suspend employment without public competition, all according to previously obtained consents from competent authorities.

The same public entities are prohibited from adopting new or amending existing regulations on internal organization and job systematization, or other acts regulating job systematization. Internal transfers of employees within institutions, enterprises, administrative bodies, and ministries are also prohibited. The KS Government, supervisory and management boards, according to today's conclusion, are obliged to annul competition procedures and appointments of directors and management board members of public entities.
