SARAJEVO, (Patria) – The Personal Data Protection Agency of BiH sent a request to the KS Assembly to remove and block the personal data of individuals positive for Covid 19, which were published as part of the Information provided to the assembly members by the KS Public Health Institute.
The News Agency Patria filed a report with the Personal Data Protection Agency of BiH after noticing that about ten names of individuals infected or suspected of being infected with coronavirus were published with all personal data (address, personal identification number, employer, phone number).
The Agency informed the News Agency Patria that the KS Assembly removed the controversial link to the Information containing the patients' names on August 27. Among the names published in the Information were healthcare workers, and this was a serious oversight by the KS Public Health Institute, which did not warn about such data and did not request that the relevant services redact that part of the material.
The services were tasked with redacting the directors' signatures, as is done with every document publication and as was the case with this Information.
The Personal Data Protection Agency thanked NAP for its interest in protecting privacy rights and personal data protection.
