(Patria) - The Sarajevo Canton Assembly gave its consent at today's session to the Ministry for Veteran Affairs of KS to sign contracts for the purchase of six residential units in the municipality of Ilijaš, location Centar.
The apartments are intended for allocation to members of the defender categories who are entitled to this right in accordance with the Law on Additional Rights of Veterans-Defenders of BiH.
The total value of the contract is 946,944 KM. Sarajevo Canton will allocate 812,985 KM, while the expected obligation of the end users is 133,958 KM.
Funds for this purpose have been secured in the Budget of Sarajevo Canton, thus continuing the systematic resolution of housing issues for the most deserving categories of society.
A total of 276 apartments worth around 29.1 million KM have been purchased for members of the veteran population in Sarajevo Canton in the period from 2021-2025.
In addition, permanent ownership of 51 residential units has been secured for members of the defender population who have so far had the status of users of apartments for lifelong use.
The investor and seller of the residential units is the KS Fund for Housing Construction.
The Assembly authorized the Minister for Veteran Affairs of KS, Omer Osmanović, to sign the contracts for the allocation of the aforementioned apartments.
