KS Assembly: Composition of the Committee for Elections and Appointments and Administrative Affairs Amended

(Patria) - Deputies of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton today adopted with 18 votes FOR the Decision on amending the Decision on appointing the Committee for Elections and Appointments and Administrative Affairs of the KS Assembly.

According to the proposal of the Speaker of the KS Assembly Mirza Čelik, the following were appointed to the new composition of the Committee: Mahir Dević, Bibija Kerla, Zvonko Marić, Danijela Kristić, Vibor Handžić, Segmedina Srna Bajramović, and Jasmina Biščević Tokić.

At the same session, the Decision on relieving the Deputy Public Prosecutor of the KS Public Prosecutor's Office, Adem Festić, who resigned from that position, was unanimously adopted.

As the last item on the agenda of today's session, the proposal and the Decision on amending the Rules of Procedure of the KS Assembly, submitted by deputy Zvonko Marić, which concerns the role of the Assembly Secretary, who is a civil servant, were considered and adopted.

Article 16 of the Rules of Procedure of the KS Assembly stipulates that the Collegium of the KS Assembly consists of the Speaker, Deputy Speakers, and the heads of the deputy clubs and the Assembly Secretary.

Since the Assembly Secretary is a civil servant, and the other members of the Collegium are elected officials, deputy Marić believes that the participation of civil servants in the decision-making of the Assembly Collegium is contrary to the provisions of the Law on Civil Service of KS.

Deputies were also informed at the beginning of today's session about air pollution in KS, as well as about the implementation of measures for the remediation and reorganization of KJKP "Gras".
