(Patria) - The continuation of the 28th working session of the Sarajevo Canton (KS) Assembly has been scheduled for 9:00 AM in Sarajevo.
The deputies have an extensive agenda before them, comprising as many as 30 items, with a focus on healthcare reform, the performance of public utility companies, and the government's work in the past period.
One of the most important items is the KS Healthcare Development Strategy for the period 2025-2030. This document is expected to pave the way for reforms in primary and secondary healthcare over the next five years.
Deputies will also review the work and financial performance reports of all key healthcare institutions, including KCUS, the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", the KS Health Center, and the Public Health Institute.
On the agenda is also the Report on the Health Status of the KS Population for 2024, which will highlight the health challenges citizens most frequently face.
Another major block of the session is reserved for the performance reports of cantonal public utility companies (KJKP) for 2024.
Citizens and deputies will gain insight into the results of companies that directly impact their quality of life: Water Supply and Sewerage (ViK), Sarajevo Heating (Toplane-Sarajevo), Rad (waste collection), Park (green area maintenance), Sarajevogas, Funeral Services (Pokop), and Markets (Tržnice-pijace).
The report on the performance of the Sarajevo Canton Television and the "Skenderija" Center is also attracting particular attention.
Deputies will also vote on the Report on the Work of the Sarajevo Canton Government for 2023 and 2024, as well as the budget execution for 2024. This will be an opportunity for the opposition and the ruling majority to discuss implemented projects and promises.
On the agenda are also the reports on the work of the KS Prosecutor's Office for 2023 and 2024, the Report on the Work of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), as well as the Return Plan to and from Sarajevo Canton for 2025.
As one of the items concerning traffic infrastructure, the Ministry of Transport's report on the number of available additional taxi licenses will be presented, which is often a point of contention among taxi drivers in the capital city.
You can follow the KS Assembly session via live broadcast on Sarajevo Television and live stream on the YouTube channel.
