Canton Sarajevo Assembly confirms new education minister Dženisa Buljugić on September 25

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo scheduled for September 25, Education Minister of Canton Sarajevo Zineta Bogunić will be dismissed, and Dženisa Buljugić will be appointed. 

This name was proposed by the People and Justice party, which also nominated Bogunić. Minister Bogunić submitted her resignation at the end of July, but continued to perform her duties until her dismissal. 

The Chairman of the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo, Elmedin Konaković, and president of the People and Justice party, told the Patria News Agency that the Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo, Edin Forto, has already forwarded the name of the new minister into the procedure. 

"Today, the Collegium of the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo will meet to supplement the agenda of the session scheduled for September 25, at which Minister Bogunić will be dismissed and Buljugić confirmed," said Konaković. 

Buljugić was born in 1975 in Sarajevo, and by profession she is a master of biological sciences. Since 2003, she has been working as a biology teacher at the Second Gymnasium. 

For a year, she worked as an assistant at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo, teaching biology with human genetics. From 2009 to 2011, she worked as an associate at the Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (laboratory for forensic genetics), and also worked on projects within the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Canton Sarajevo.

From 2004 to 2008, she was a councilor in the Municipal Council of Centar.
