HNK Assembly Convenes Today: Vote on New HNK Government

(Patria) - The Assembly of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton will hold a session today in the main hall of the HNK Assembly starting at 1:00 PM. The new HNK Government, which will consist of HDZ BiH, SDA, and SDP, is expected to be confirmed at this session.

The agreement on forming the new government was signed by representatives of HDZ BiH, SDA, and SDP on Wednesday evening in Mostar.

These three parties will form the parliamentary majority and have enough votes to confirm the new HNK Government, which requires 20 votes.

HDZ BiH, with 11 representatives, is indispensable in forming the new government, while SDP has three, and SDA has seven representatives.

However, the relations between SDA and NES in HNK remain unresolved, and SDA has announced that they will work with NES on further cooperation.

"The Executive Board of the Cantonal Organization of SDA HNK, appreciating the existing partnership with NES – Herzegovina region, believes that the cooperation between these two political entities should continue. In this regard, SDA HNK has formed a team that will work on improving cooperation at the cantonal, city, and municipal levels to develop a partnership of political and operational action between SDA and NES in the HNK region," it was announced.
