Republika Srpska's expensive lobbying is not helping politicians on the US blacklist

According to the contract available on the website of the US Department of Justice, or their Foreign Agents Registration Office (FARA), Republika Srpska will allocate 65,000 US dollars monthly, or 780,000 dollars, or 1,274,708 KM annually to this agency.

The contract, addressed to Zlatan Klokić, Minister for Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of Republika Srpska, states that McGinnis Lochridge will advise and represent Republika Srpska, and will work with and advise elected representatives on international legal and political issues at the request of the Government from time to time.

McGinnis Lochridge expects to assist the Government of Republika Srpska with the following:

– Legal rights and obligations of Republika Srpska under applicable international law, including the Dayton Peace Agreement and other international agreements to which BiH is a party, such as the European Convention on Human Rights;

– Rights and obligations of Republika Srpska and BiH in relation to the Office of the High Representative, the Peace Implementation Council, the UN Security Council, the OSCE, the EU, the Council of Europe, and others;

– Relations with the international community;

– Legal issues related to the harmonization of institutions and laws of Republika Srpska and BiH with the constitutional framework of BiH according to the Dayton Peace Agreement;

– And legal issues related to the harmonization of institutions and laws of Republika Srpska and BiH with European standards in relation to EU accession.
