Ski school attended by 86 students from Centar Municipality area

Thanks to the financial support of the Centar Municipality, 86 students from 11 primary schools in the central Sarajevo municipality attended a ski school on Igman for free during the past winter break, organized by the municipal Service for Education, Culture and Sport in cooperation with the Public Institution "Center for Sport and Recreation", reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The free ski school for fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade students from low-income families was organized in two shifts at Malo Polje on Igman. With the professional help of physical and health education teachers, 28 girls and 58 boys successfully learned the basics of skiing.

Transportation and a warm meal (sandwich and tea) were provided for all ski school participants. The Centar Municipality provided ski equipment for 65 participants, while the remaining participants had their own or rented equipment. After the course ended, the children were very satisfied and determined to re-apply for future ski courses.

The aforementioned project, in which the Centar Municipality invested 10,286 KM, was implemented in accordance with the Operational Plan of extracurricular activities in the field of sports for the 2014/2015 school year, which the municipal Service for Education, Culture and Sport implements together with primary schools.
