The Municipality of Centar has organized a free gymnastics school for students of 11 elementary schools in its area this school year, reports the BH News Agency Patria.
For the realization of the project, 5,700 KM has been allocated from the budget of the central Sarajevo municipality.
In the first semester of this school year, the Gymnastics School for students from first to fifth grade begins on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, and will last until the end of May 2015. Gymnastics classes for elementary school students, under the expert guidance of physical and health education teachers, will be held in the sports hall of Sarajevo's FIS (Mis Irbina 10) twice a week - Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 to 10 AM and from 2 to 3 PM.
The goal of this project is to contribute to the most correct and harmonious physical development of children through gymnastics exercises on the floor and apparatus, and to prevent spinal deformities that can occur due to prolonged sitting at school desks, reports Patria.
