Scandalous: Zvizdić and Kozadra owe 9.4 million KM to veterans!

The Sarajevo Canton, led by acting Prime Minister Muhamed Kozadra and his party chief Denis Zvizdić (SDA), is sinking deeper, writes the Patria News Agency.

Proof of this is that the Sarajevo Canton Government owes the veteran population 9,400,000 KM, of which over 2,600,000 KM relates to the current year. Thus, this morning the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs sent a renewed urgent request for payment of obligations by the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs. As NAP learns, this ministry, headed by Faid Hećo (BPS), is not among the priorities of Kozadra and Zvizdić, as they regularly make transactions to ministries where SDA ministers are seated.

Existing unpaid obligations date back to 2012, totaling approximately 1,660,000 KM, of which 700,000 KM relates to approved loans for housing needs approved through Balkan Investment Bank, 479,940 KM in obligations to the Health Insurance Fund for contributions for persons insured under the Law on Additional Rights of Veterans-Defenders of BiH, and 480,121 KM in obligations to municipalities for recognized rights to rent and development costs for new construction and legalization of facilities for members of the veteran population.

Precisely because of this, the Municipality of Ilidža has filed several lawsuits against the Canton, and a warning from the Municipality of Hadžići has also been received on this basis.

The largest amount of obligations from 2013 also relates to approved loans for housing needs, where out of the approved 1,390,000 KM to NLB bank, through which the decision is implemented, nothing has been disbursed.

A large portion of the approved funds relates directly to end-users from veteran categories, and there is great dissatisfaction and constant appeals from members of the veteran population to both the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, headed by Kozadra.

- In 2014, this particularly applies to funeral costs, where solutions have practically not been paid since April, and 640,000 KM are awaiting payment. Payments for holders of war decorations have been slowed down, and the compensation for April was only paid after urgent requests – state the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs.
