Scandalous: Memorial tournament in Višegrad "celebrates" crimes of Chetnik duke Vidoje Andrić

So far, more than 150 victims from Višegrad have been buried at the Stražište cemetery, who were treacherously killed at the beginning of the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina by, among other criminal units, members of the paramilitary formation "Osvetnici" led by war criminal Milan Lukić, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The first victim buried at the Stražište cemetery was Behija Zukić, a woman who was the first victim of the monster Milan Lukić. She and her husband Džemail had returned from France a year before the aggression in a newly purchased Passat the color of rotten cherries. In Višegrad, they opened shops and were considered one of the wealthier families.

Criminals Milan Lukić and Vidoje Andrić, his trusted man, on May 19, 1992, according to some testimonies of surviving Višegrad residents, killed Behija, and took Džemail and son Faruk away, while the daughters managed to save themselves. The remains of Džemail and Faruk were found at the Kurtalići site and were buried last year at Stražište.

The stolen Passat of the Zukić family would later become a death vehicle in which the monster Milan Lukić would rampage through Višegrad and pick up his victims. Among the 70 so far, the youngest Bosniak victim buried at Stražište is a nine-month-old baby, Amela Ahmetspahić, who was killed together with her mother Mediha.

Milan Lukić was sentenced to life imprisonment. Vidoje Andrić, who committed numerous crimes against the Bosniaks of Višegrad, according to some witnesses, died stepping on a mine. Had he remained alive, he would certainly have answered in The Hague alongside Milan and Sredoje Lukić for the crimes committed.

However, his dark past and bloodied hands do not represent an obstacle for the Višegrad municipal authorities to celebrate this Chetnik duke by organizing today's, the 9th consecutive karate memorial tournament "Vidoje Andrić".

The Bosniaks of Višegrad, especially those who have returned to live in their hometown, are outraged by this scandalous and shameful behavior of the Višegrad Municipality. This tournament is not the only one held in the town where crimes against Bosniaks were committed. Several other criminals have received their "place of honor" and various sports events are organized in their memory.
