Scandals at the session: Gratz threatened, MPs who are not present vote, BPS votes incorrectly

An extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH in Sarajevo today, where the new federal Labour Law is to be adopted, was also marked by a series of scandals.

During the public vote on whether the new Labour Law should remain on the session's agenda or be withdrawn, SDA representative Halid Muhić also voted, although Muhić was not present at this session at all.

- When, during the public vote of representatives on whether they were for withdrawing the Labour Law, it was Muhić's turn to declare his position, someone from the representatives said on his behalf that he opposed withdrawing the Labour Law from the agenda, which representatives from other political parties noticed and began to protest – reported the reporter of the BiH news agency Patria.

Just a few minutes later, there was confusion among BPS representatives, who initially did not support voting on the Labour Law in Parliament under an urgent procedure, even though BPS and SDA leaders Sefer Halilović and Bakir Izetbegović had formed a coalition just a few minutes earlier in the BiH Presidency building, and Halilović confirmed that BPS would support the SDA's proposal for the new Labour Law in the FBiH Parliament.

SDA Secretary General Amir Zukić approached the three BPS representatives after that misunderstanding, who corrected themselves in the public vote and supported the proposal to vote on the Labour Law under an urgent procedure.

During the session, a conflict also occurred between Bajro Melez, president of the Metalworkers' Union of BiH, and Dennis Gratz, a representative of Our Party in the FBiH Parliament.

According to Gratz, Melez looked at him during the session and threatened him. Melez denied Gratz's claims, and afterwards, both gave statements to the police.

The new Labour Law in FBiH has caused a series of divisions in the Federation of BiH, and on Thursday, when the delegates of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament decided on this law, thousands of workers protested on the streets of Sarajevo, trying to stop the adoption of the Law, but they did not succeed, writes NAP.
