Skaka hosted mayors of Southeast European cities

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka hosted the 1st Summit of Mayors of Southeast European capitals "Capitals Summit 2019" / Summit of Mayors of South East Europe.

The summit was attended by Zoran Janković, Mayor of Ljubljana, Petre Shilegov, Mayor of Skopje, Erion Veliaj, Mayor of Tirana, Fadilj Eminović, member of the Belgrade City Council, Slađana Vujović, Deputy Mayor of Podgorica, while the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandić, sent a Letter of Support.

The guest of honor at the Summit was the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Dato' Nor Hisham A Dahlan. 

The meeting of delegations from regional city centers was held in the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, also welcomed the attendees.

One of the conclusions is that the participants of the Summit in Sarajevo have committed to intensifying cooperation and continuously connecting the capitals of the region and establishing a formal framework for cooperation under the motto "Cities without borders". They also committed to holding such meetings at least once a year, hosted by one of the participating cities.
