(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH is expected to discuss the Draft Law on Amendments to the Communications Law, as well as the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Fundamentals of Road Traffic Safety in BiH at today's session, proposed by the Ministry of Communications and Transport.
Also on the proposed agenda is the Draft Law on Measuring Units in BiH, proposed by the Institute of Metrology.
A Proposal for the appointment of a Deputy Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) should also be presented to the ministers, it was announced from the Council of Ministers. However, this item could be removed from the agenda due to the resistance of ministers from SNSD. The Council of Ministers of BiH has never accepted the resignation of Darko Ćulum, even though he has not been coming to work since March. At the invitation of the RS leadership, Ćulum left SIPA and moved to be an advisor in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS. This situation is unprecedented in SIPA. Otherwise, there is only one candidate for the Deputy Director of SIPA, Dragan Andrić, who is close to HDZ.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense of BiH, Zukan Helez, stated that he would not vote for appointments in SIPA until the Minister of Security of BiH is appointed. Since the dismissal of Nenad Nešić, the Ministry has been headed by Ivica Bošnjak, a cadre of HDZ.
Ministers are expected to consider, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security, the Proposal for the Strategy of Integrated Border Management and the Action Plan for the Implementation of this Strategy for the period from 2025 to 2029, as well as information on the migration situation for the first three months of this year.
At the proposal of the same ministry, a proposal for a decision on seeking international assistance for protection and rescue in firefighting should be presented to the ministers.
The proposed agenda should also include the Anti-Mine Action Plan in BiH for 2025 and 2026, as well as the demining plan for this year.
Ministers should also provide opinions on several legal proposals proposed by MPs of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
The session is scheduled for 11:00 AM in the BiH institutions building in Sarajevo.
