Session of the Management Board of the Health Insurance Institute: Repeal of the Decision Allowing Turković to Spend 2,000 KM on a Mobile Phone Sought

Samir Turković (SDA), director of the Health Insurance Institute of the Sarajevo Canton, receives 2,000 KM monthly for mobile phone usage costs, as stipulated by a decision of the Management Board of the Health Insurance Institute of the Sarajevo Canton, which adopted a rulebook on the manner of using mobile phones for official purposes, reports the Patria news agency.

Tomorrow and the day after, a session of the Management Board of the Health Insurance Institute will be held, and member Esad Hrvačić has proposed that this shameful decision be corrected.

- I proposed that this article be repealed or corrected. We will see what the other colleagues from the Management Board of the Health Insurance Institute will say. I hope my suggestions will be taken into account - Hrvačić emphasized for Patria.

At a time when there is talk of savings and healthcare reform, which is being prepared precisely due to austerity measures and improving services for citizens, all employees of Health Centers, the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" and the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo were stunned by the procedure of the Management Board, headed by Hamid Milak.

- Are these forms of savings, who is playing games with us. We listened to Turković talking about reform, about how dentists are a burden in terms of financing, how the school dispensary is being shut down, and everything else, and then we find out that he spends 2,000 KM on a mobile phone - says our interlocutor from the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

For ordinary citizens to understand the point of the story, one should compare the costs of telephone bills of the state Prime Minister Denis Zvizdić, who is approved 500 KM monthly for this purpose, i.e., four times less than Turković, who has jurisdiction only in the Sarajevo Canton!?

Thus, Turković can spend 24,000 KM annually on mobile phone costs, and during a four-year mandate, 96,000 KM!?
