
(Patria) - The Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (UO UIO) of Bosnia and Herzegovina at today's 5th session adopted the Decision on determining the specific and minimum excise duty on cigarettes and smoking tobacco for 2025. According to the provisions of this decision, the amount of the specific excise duty remains the same.
The amount of the minimum excise duty on cigarettes, according to the new decision, is 179 KM per 1,000 pieces, i.e., 3.58 KM per pack of 20 cigarettes, and the amount of excise duty on smoking tobacco is 143.20 KM per kilogram. This decision enters into force on January 1, 2025.
The Management Board did not adopt today a decision on determining temporary coefficients for the distribution of funds from the Single Account for the period October - December 2024, nor a decision on the distribution of toll revenue.
At today's session, a decision was adopted on the rate of compensatory interest for the second half of this year and the first half of next year, where there were no changes compared to previous ones, and this interest will be calculated at a rate of 12 percent in certain cases of customs debt.
Today, the strategy and work program of the Administration and the budget request of the UIO for 2025 were discussed, as well as the report on the execution of the UIO budget in the first half of this year.
