House of Representatives of PS BiH session in Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is scheduled for today at 12:00 PM.

A stormy start to the session is expected during the part when representatives ask questions and submit initiatives. Given the blockade of the work of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Parliament is not adopting laws, and representatives of SNSD and coalition partners will likely not attend the session.

The agenda includes the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Fundamentals of Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Report on Personal Data Protection in BiH for 2020, and the Special Report on the Effectiveness of Legal Solutions in the Field of Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Representatives will also consider the Report on the reviewed financial operations of political parties in 2019, prepared by the Central Election Commission.

An initiative by MP Damir Arnaut will be discussed, which instructs the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH to establish a procedure and initiate the process of issuing unified COVID-19 certificates with a QR code within 14 days of the adoption of this initiative, for the purpose of their use outside Bosnia and Herzegovina in one of the following two ways: 1. issuance of such certificates by the ministry itself, based on certificates of vaccination/recovered COVID, which the Ministry obtains from competent entity, cantonal and Brčko District authorities, or certificates of the aforementioned competent authorities that citizens submit to the Ministry themselves, 2. creation and submission to the aforementioned competent authorities of a unified form for issuing such certificates by those authorities.

The agenda also includes consideration of the initiative by MP Saša Magazinović, which tasks the Council of Ministers of BiH to submit a legal solution to the parliamentary procedure within three months, introducing mandatory medical examinations for elected and appointed officials in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which includes special testing of mental and psychological abilities for performing public functions, as well as testing for psychoactive substances.

An initiative by MPs Mirjana Marinković-Lepi and Aida Baručija will also be considered, which instructs the Council of Ministers of BiH to adopt the Strategy for Combating Corruption for the period 2020-2024 and the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy 2020-2024 within 30 days, as well as an initiative by MPs Mirjana Marinković-Lepi and Aida Baručija, which instructs the Council of Ministers of BiH to submit the Law on State Property to the legislative procedure within 30 days, and an initiative by MPs Mirjana Marinković-Lepi and Aida Baručija, which instructs the Council of Ministers of BiH to complete the process of harmonizing legislation in the field of personal data protection with the newly adopted regulations of the European Union within 90 days.
