House of Representatives of PFBiH Session: Several Laws on the Agenda, as well as the Appointment of Purić as Speaker of the House

(Patria) - A session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been scheduled for today, and deputies will consider a series of legal solutions that directly affect the work of the judiciary and the notary service.

The focus of the session is the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Criminal Procedure of FBiH. These amendments plan to introduce an alphabetical order in the assignment of defense attorneys ex officio, which aims to prevent any abuse in criminal proceedings and ensure equality among lawyers.

The agenda also includes the Bill on the Notary Service, harmonized with the decisions of the Constitutional Court of FBiH. The new solution stipulates that cantonal governments, in cooperation with the relevant ministry and the Notary Chamber, determine and regularly review the number of notaries in their area in accordance with the actual needs of citizens. Due to harmonization with this law, amendments to the law on the registration of business entities, property rights, land registries, inheritance, and the Family Law will also be considered.

One of the key points of the session will be the election of a new Speaker of the House of Representatives. For this position, which has been vacant since March after the dismissal of Dragan Mioković, Our Party has nominated representative Amir Purić from Velika Kladuša. The session is scheduled to begin at 10 AM.
