Presidency Session: No Dissolution of SDP, in the Race for President Nikšić, Pudarić, Delić and Ćavar

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Presidency of the Social Democratic Party of BiH at today's session expressed commitment to the Bosnian-Herzegovinian bloc, as the only real alternative to the unpromising rule of ethnonational parties. At the session, confidence was expressed in the further strengthening and expansion process of the Bloc, whereby all member parties of the bloc should unanimously oppose the rule of nationalist parties, it was announced from this party after the held session of the Presidency. 

"The Presidency characterized the decision of the Democratic Front on negotiations to enter the government with national parties as a legitimate decision of this political organization, but also as a unilateral move by the DF, in relation to the other members of the BH bloc. Respecting this decision, at the session it was once again confirmed that the SDP does not want to be part of any ethnic bloc, nor will it serve anyone as a guarantor for the non-functioning of the government and fulfilling the wishes of the destroyers of the state for blocking the Euro-Atlantic path and preventing the implementation of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. 
 
The DF's offer on the unification of left-oriented parties, during the period when this party is negotiating with nationalist parties, was assessed as unfair and an attempt to mitigate the negative consequences
of the DF's accession to talks on forming a government with the SDA, HDZ and SNSD. It was unequivocally emphasized that never, for any reason, including a possible unification of left-wing parties, will there be a
dissolution of the SDP. It was once again emphasized that the SDP BiH will put all its parliamentary capacities in the function of defending the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and will support all projects that will work on strengthening our state and its institutions, regardless of their proponents.

At the session, information was also adopted that the Central Election Commission of the SDP BiH verified the expression of interest of four candidates for the upcoming intra-party elections for the president of the SDP, namely Edin Delić, Mladen Ćavar, Nermin Nikšić and Svetozar Pudarić.
