BiH Presidency session on coronavirus, Tegeltija and Radončić present

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - An extraordinary session of the BiH Presidency began at 5 PM in the BiH Presidency building, attended by two members, Šefik Džaferović and Milorad Dodik, while the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić is in self-isolation after returning from Canada and joined via video link.

The session is also attended by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Zoran Tegeltija and the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fahrudin Radončić. Also present are the Prime Ministers of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković and the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, as well as several other ministers of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Government of RS, the Mayor of Brčko Siniša Milić, and the Chief of the Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces Senad Mašović.

Today, both Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH declared a state of emergency, which entails taking a series of measures to protect citizens from the spread of coronavirus.

The Presidency will today make a decision on the engagement of the BiH Armed Forces related to the placement of isolation tents at BiH's borders, and will also consider measures and actions to stop the spread of coronavirus and to mitigate the economic consequences caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik stated earlier today that he will propose at the BiH Presidency session that the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina "release" two and a half billion KM. He will also propose reducing the mandatory reserve ratio for banks so that more money remains available for citizens and the economy.
