PIC Session at Srebrenica Memorial Center, Schmidt and Ambassadors Paid Tribute to Genocide Victims

(Patria) - Representatives of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) will hold a PIC session today at the Srebrenica Memorial Center in Potočari, and before the session, accompanied by the Director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center Emir Suljagić, they laid flowers at the memorial stone and paid tribute to the 8,372 victims of the Srebrenica genocide.

They will also hold a meeting with the Association "Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa". Representatives of the EU Delegation and the OSCE Mission to BiH are also in Potočari.

High Representative Christian Schmidt also laid flowers at the memorial, followed by representatives of "Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa".

This year, July 11th, will mark the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, and due to the political and security situation caused by the actions of the authorities of the RS entity and the laws passed by the National Assembly of the RS, the Memorial Center was closed for visits for several days.
