NSRS Session: Returning Competences from the State to the RS, What Will Happen to the BiH Armed Forces?

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - The National Assembly of the RS will hold its 24th special session today starting at 12:00, with five agenda items related to the transfer of competences from the RS to BiH, i.e., the withdrawal of the RS from state institutions. The address of SNSD President Milorad Dodik has been approved, as well as that of all other leaders of parliamentary political parties in the RS who submitted a request.

The agenda includes: Information on the transfer of competences from the Republika Srpska to the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a proposal for conclusions – proposal by the President of the Republic, the Government of the Republika Srpska, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republika Srpska, and the caucuses of SNSD, SP, DEMOS, US, NPS, and the NDP Parliamentary Group;

Information on the transfer of competences in the area of indirect taxation, with a proposal for conclusions – proposal by the President of the Republic, the Government of the Republika Srpska, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republika Srpska, and the caucuses of SNSD, SP, DEMOS, US, NPS, and the NDP Parliamentary Group;

Information on the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a proposal for conclusions – proposal by the President of the Republic, the Government of the Republika Srpska, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republika Srpska, and the caucuses of SNSD, SP, DEMOS, US, NPS, and the NDP Parliamentary Group;

Information on the transfer of competences from the Republika Srpska to the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the area of defence and security, with a proposal for conclusions – proposal by the President of the Republic, the Government of the Republika Srpska, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republika Srpska, and the caucuses of SNSD, SP, DEMOS, US, NPS, and the NDP Parliamentary Group;

Declaration on constitutional principles – proposal by the President of the Republic, the Government of the Republika Srpska, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republika Srpska, and the caucuses of SNSD, SP, DEMOS, US, NPS, and the NDP Parliamentary Group.

Dodik announced that the NSRS will withdraw its consent to the formation of the army, i.e., the BiH Armed Forces, and "we will sit down and see how to further resolve this issue."

He said that all other decisions made by high representatives that were not in accordance with the BiH Constitution will have their validity revoked in the territory of the RS.
