City Council Session Scheduled for Friday, SDP Still Lacks Candidate for Sarajevo Mayor

(Patria) - The Collegium of the City Council today set the date for the 47th session of the City Council for Friday
29.11.2024, starting at 3:00 PM.

At the session of the Collegium of the City Council, the president of the SDP City Councilors' Club, Muamer Mekić, informed the members of the Collegium of the City Council that the SDP City Councilors' Club will determine its candidate for the election of the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo on Thursday, 28.11.2024, and until the end of the current term of the City Council of the City of
Sarajevo.

Today, NIP's Mirza Selimbegović was elected Deputy Mayor until the end of the term of the Sarajevo City Council, replacing Samir Avdić, who took over the mandate of councilor in the Novo Sarajevo Municipal Council.

The SDP should propose a candidate for mayor from among the Others or Serbs, and according to Patria's information from the SDP, they are trying to persuade Mirko Pejanović to take over the function during this transitional period.
