Sivro demands urgent amendment to the Sarajevo Canton Government Decision: Why was one teacher left unassigned?

(Patria) - President of the Independent Union of Primary Education and Upbringing of FBiH - Sarajevo Cantonal Committee Saudin Sivro sent a letter today to Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister Nihad Uk and Minister of Education and Science of Sarajevo Canton Naida Hota-Muminović regarding the Decision on granting consent to primary schools as public institutions in the Sarajevo Canton area for filling vacant positions.

Sivro requests an amendment to that Decision, given that one of the three teachers remained unassigned.

"Upon reviewing the Decision granting consent to primary schools as public institutions in the Sarajevo Canton area for filling vacant positions - concluding employment contracts for an indefinite period for 60 (sixty) positions (Official Gazette of Sarajevo Canton 33/25), we were taken aback because the said decision did not grant consent for the classroom teaching position at the Public Primary School 'Edhem Mulabdić' Sarajevo, for Selma Paralović Jažić.

Furthermore, according to the aforementioned Decision of the Sarajevo Canton Government, positions for three teachers are not provided, so we hereby request that the Sarajevo Canton Government convene urgently and adopt an amendment to the Decision.
Namely, the workers are very dissatisfied and disturbed by the newly created situation, and we believe it is necessary for the Government to rectify the injustice as soon as possible. We expect a response urgently," the letter states.

Although there was a proposal for the deployment of primary school workers listing three positions, the Sarajevo Canton Government granted consent for only two positions.

In this case, the principal of the Primary School 'Isak Samokovlija' is also in an unenviable position, given that she does not have consent for her employee.
