Sivro wrote to Uk: Will you resign yourself, or should the Union request it?

(Patria) - The president of the Cantonal Board of the Independent Union of Primary Education and Upbringing, Saudin Sivro, sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Nihad Uk, inviting him to resign.

We are transmitting the letter from unionist Sivro in its entirety:

"Dear Prime Minister,

On 16.10.2025 and 31.10.2025, we addressed you with a Request for amendment of Article 51, Paragraph (1) of the Collective Agreement for the activities of preschool education and primary education and upbringing in Sarajevo Canton, correspondence numbers: 1636/25 and 1686/25 (attached).

In accordance with the law and the Collective Agreement, you did not respond to our correspondence at all.

You have violated Article 50 and Article 175 of the Collective Agreement.

You are behaving irresponsibly, and with your poor, ignorant attitude towards the workers, you are telling them that they should seek their guaranteed rights in court, through strikes and protests.

We believe it would be best, in everyone's interest, for you to consider the possibility of submitting your resignation. If you do not wish to do so independently, we are prepared to help you and officially request your resignation, so that a responsible person can take your position, who will assume the duties in a way that best reflects the needs and expectations of society, citizens, and the public.
