SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Across Bosnia and Herzegovina, citizens bid farewell to 2021 and welcomed 2022 in public squares, hospitality venues, on mountains, and in their homes. A public outdoor celebration was held in Zenica, Tuzla, Mostar, Banja Luka, and Prijedor.
Although there was no public outdoor celebration in Sarajevo, this did not prevent a large number of tourists and guests from visiting the city. New Year's Eve celebrations were organized in almost all Sarajevo hotels.
Those who welcomed the New Year on the mountains or outdoors enjoyed a pleasant night, as the temperature was unusually high for this time of year, even for the mountains.
