Broad BiH Delegation in Brussels: Leaders of Ruling Parties Meet with Varhelyi

(Patria) - The second Political Forum between the EU and BiH will be held in Brussels today, chaired by European Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, and a broad delegation from BiH has traveled, including leaders of the ruling political parties, entity prime ministers, cantonal prime ministers, the mayor of Brčko, heads of clubs in the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, members of the Collegiums of both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, and representatives of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

Party leaders will hold a meeting with Varhelyi, followed by meetings with parliamentarians, clubs, and representatives of cantonal governments.

President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović is optimistic once again. He says everyone will show a very clear European commitment and define five or six things that still need to be adopted.

"From the Election Law, the Budget first of all, the Law on Conflict of Interest, and several other solutions recognized as a minimum to give us a clear signal about opening the negotiation process. I am optimistic," he added.

Čović said that on these topics, they are mostly in agreement with partners from the Federation of BiH.

It should be recalled that since the beginning of November and the visit of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the BiH authorities have not adopted a single reform law. Pending are the Law on Courts, the Law on Conflict of Interest, the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorist Activities, the agreement with FRONTEX...
