Did SIPA know Pljevljak was threatening Alomerović?

The tragic story of the murder of Sadeta Alomerović and the serious injury of her brother Samed in Sarajevo has resonated throughout the region. They were shot by an employee of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SIPA) Rasim Pljevljak, who committed suicide yesterday while on the run.

New details leading to this tragedy are being revealed daily in the public. Initially, it was speculated in the media that it was a love affair, but family and friends deny this. Agency Patria has unofficially learned that SIPA knew earlier that Pljevljak was threatening Alomerović!

A close friend of the late Sadeta told the Patria News Agency (NAP) that the Alomerović family is further burdened by false media reports at this time. She told NAP that it is true that Sadeta lent money to Rasim Pljevljak, but that there was no love affair between the two.

- Sadeta was a wonderful person, ready to help, and he told her he had problems with his ex-wife and needed money for his child. She was very soft-hearted towards children and lent him the money, but later discovered she wasn't the only one he owed money to, so she simply asked for her money back – our source reveals.

She further claims for NAP that Alomerović had already written to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and informed the agency's management about the case and the problems she was having with Pljevljak.

- I even know that she received some threatening messages from him, but she did not give up on getting her money back. People from SIPA even contacted her, telling her not to delete the messages she was receiving – says the friend of the late Sadeta.

We have also sent an inquiry to SIPA in the hope of finding out if these claims are true, but we have not received a response to date.
