SIPA with colleagues from MUP KS, restore dignity to police officers

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The SIPA Trade Union today gave full support to colleagues from Sarajevo in seeking better working conditions.

Full support to colleagues working in the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, it is shameful what they have brought the police to at all levels of government!

We in the police agencies at the state level best understand what the neglect of government representatives means, we know what it means to be left to ourselves, we know what the "stepmotherly" attitude of the government towards the police means.

The ignorant attitude towards the police at all levels leads to the erosion of the integrity of police officers, which could ultimately have far-reaching consequences.

Fortunately, you colleagues from the MUP of Sarajevo Canton have someone to express your dissatisfaction to and someone from whom to seek the restoration of dignity to the police profession - we at the state level are deprived of even that, given that the government has not been functioning for months, but for "them" it doesn't even matter because for their inaction, each of them receives a salary equal to 5 salaries of a police officer who is at work every day in bad uniforms and wet shoes.

Therefore, in the end, once again, full support to police officers, miners, medical staff, educators, and all of you who are fighting for your rights. We hope that the day will come when we too will have the opportunity to fight for the return of rights taken away in 2009, according to the support of the SIPA Trade Union.
