SIPA warns citizens about fake email messages: Abusing names of officials and Deputy Director Zoran Galić

(Patria) - The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) has informed citizens that in the recent period it has been noted that messages are arriving at the email addresses of natural and legal persons stating "there is information that certain individuals are engaged in illegal activities related to pornography and abuse".

“In the mentioned email messages, perpetrators often abuse the names of members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, and recently it has been observed that they are also abusing the name of Deputy Director Zoran Galić. We warn citizens that the claims in the subject email messages are false, and that the names of institutions and individuals have been misused,” stated SIPA.

The email messages are sent from multiple email addresses belonging to the national domain of the Federal Republic of Germany.

“We advise citizens that if they receive such email messages, they should not open them or respond to them, and if they have been harmed in any way, they should report it to the competent police authority,” SIPA emphasizes.
