
(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency today, as part of the operational action "KLIK", arrested two police officers of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH. Searches of premises and temporary seizure of items are underway at five locations in the areas of Sarajevo, East Sarajevo, Šipovo, and Sanski Most, SIPA announced.
As Patria learns, Damir Kovačević and Joja Praštalo were arrested.
The mentioned activities are being carried out due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that criminal offenses of "Receiving a reward or other benefit for trading in influence", in connection with the criminal offense of "Money Laundering" prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been committed.
The activities are being carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with police officers of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska.
The persons deprived of their liberty will be taken to SIPA premises for criminal processing and questioning as suspects.
