(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (hereinafter: SIPA) today (23.11.2021) conducted searches of several residential buildings at three locations in the area of Trebinje as part of an international operational action, during which they discovered and temporarily seized approximately 200 kilograms of the narcotic drug "marijuana" and a quantity of firearms and explosives.
Three persons were deprived of their liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offenses of "Organized Crime" under Article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina in connection with the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs" under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The aforementioned activities are being carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, and the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, upon the oral order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The persons deprived of liberty will be taken to SIPA premises, where they will undergo criminal processing, after which they will be handed over, along with a report on the committed criminal offense and the perpetrator, to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
