SIPA investigates who knew about Pljevljak's threats!

The Agency for Investigations and Protection (SIPA) confirmed to the Patria News Agency (NAP) that there are reports that certain officials of the agency had information regarding the threats received by Sadeta Alomerović from Rasim Pljevljak.

However, they emphasize that this information did not reach the office of director Goran Zubac or the Internal Control Service, which are responsible for such matters. Therefore, as stated for NAP from SIPA, they have opened an investigation to examine all circumstances and facts related to this case.

We remind you that Pljevljak, a SIPA special operative, killed Alomerović three days ago and seriously wounded her brother, and then committed suicide yesterday. The Patria Agency published this morning the claim of the murdered woman's friend that Alomerović had previously informed SIPA about the problems she had with Pljevljak.   

- Upon receiving information that certain reports related to the aforementioned were sent to certain SIPA officials, the Agency initiated a procedure to examine all facts. If it is determined that anyone in SIPA had such information, relating to the prior threats made to the victim Sadeta Alomerović by an Agency official, and did not, in accordance with valid procedures, inform the SIPA management to carry out the necessary procedure, an adequate procedure will be carried out against them in the shortest possible time in accordance with the valid legal regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina – SIPA stated for NAP.

They further state that "everyone in SIPA is taken aback and very shaken by the recent events." They express deep sympathy to the families of the victims and all those affected by this tragedy.

Incidentally, the Patria News Agency contacted Mirsad Vilić, commander of the SIPA special unit, who was Pljevljak's superior, but Vilić declined to provide any information or statements.
