
Security agencies in BiH are checking the authenticity of a photo showing a group of about twenty Serbian youths with military weapons, taken on January 9 on Ravna Romanija during the celebration of Republika Srpska Day.
SIPA has also become involved in the case. The youths in the photo are not difficult to identify. They face severe penalties.
The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed to Patria that they forwarded the photo to the competent security agencies for verification of authenticity and further action.
It was also confirmed that SIPA, in cooperation with other police authorities, is working on identifying the persons in the photo.
About twenty youths of Serbian nationality celebrated January 9 with alcohol and military weapons.
The youths, some of whom were dressed in military uniforms, took photos on Ravna Romanija, with several youths holding automatic rifles.
Local residents confirmed to Patria that this group patrolled several times that day in vehicles on the Sokolac - Mokro route, firing into the air.
Carrying military weapons by civilians is prohibited and constitutes a criminal offense, writes Patria.
