SIPA searched the premises of the Ministry of Defense of BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), under the orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, searched a computer located in the premises of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of determining the content of files that could serve as a trace or evidence in relation to the criminal offense of "Abuse of position or authority".

"During the search, two optical media (CDs) with identical content of files copied from the computer and hard drive were discovered and temporarily confiscated. These activities are the result of an investigation related to the existence of grounds for suspicion that, in the period from March to October 2010, without the consent of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two decisions and four annexes to four contracts for the sale of non-perspective weapons and ammunition were made, which were concluded in 2003 and 2004 between the entity ministries of defense and a company from the Republic of Croatia," stated the SIPA press release.

Police officers compiled appropriate reports on the implementation of these orders, which, along with attachments, were submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Ministry of Defense of BiH legally lost a court case worth 20 million marks initiated by a Croatian company because the weapons they ordered back in 2003 and 2004 were not delivered, and BIRN BiH had insight into the final verdict from December 2017, reports BIRN.

In "Scout", they then announced that they would file criminal charges and seek forced collection from the Ministry of Defense.
